Could be a very nice venue! Kids are great. Who's teaching them now?

Frontier days sounds like a good idea to me too. I was wondering, as far as demonstrations, etc. What does everyone think about contacting some of the four-H groups and seeing if some of the kids from the dog showing groups wanted to participate too? I know some of them don't have pure bred dogs, but they would help with the promotion of responsible dog ownership. Just an idea :)

Checked on a couple possible opportunities this week. Will now be gone till after memorial day but am looking for feed back and interest in participation. Don't want to be a lonely only sitting a booth somewhere whilst everyone else is off showing. lol Seriously looking for input and what would be the most fun reach the most number of JQP and be the least amount of work for us.

We can attend the CAHS dog walk on Sept 29 the vendor tables are $150 for the day which is usually like 9 to 2ish with set up and take down major problem is we could only have 2 dogs at the booth. So no real opportunity to parade the breeds or promote purebred dogs beyond the performance sports and training? Not really the venue for promoting responsible breeding even though that would be the means to the end of the shelter population problems. If we want to do this I can set everything up but would not be able to attend that day.

Another possibility is the Charlotte Frontier Day parade on Sept 8th we could walk dogs in the parade to display breeds and pass out info in route there are thousands in attendance. Website: www.charlottefrontierdays.com
http://www.charlottefrontierdays.com/schedule06.php and or arrange to do something like a community dog show, Pet contests, parade of breeds and demos another time during the weekend?

Any other ideas out there on places to contact?
